Vogue Optical 55+ Summer Games Biggest in PEI History
The 2009 Vogue Optical 55+ Provincial Summer Games resulted in the biggest PEI summer games in history. 345 participants took part in over 20 events, everything from slowpitch softball and cycling to bocce and crokinole. Prior to the games, Cavendish Resort Municipality Chair Mel Gass asked, “To all persons who are 55+ you should make 2009 the year to get involved in the Summer Games”, and they did with an increase of over 19% from the previous year.
